Kevin,

Can I ask a question? When I apply for jobs at my last company (which is where I want to work), I include two reference letters from a former supervisor and a former internal customer. I also point the recruiter/manager to my LinkedIn profile, where several more recommendations are posted, in my cover letter and on my resume. I call or email my references to let them know for what jobs I have applied. Plus, I am connected in LinkedIn to several recruiters at my former company and when I apply for jobs within their business unit, I email the recruiter and let them know I have applied. Have I covered all the bases and done the best I can do to make myself stand out?
