This week I had a chance to be on The Career Catalyst with Kenrick Chatman. He has had some great guests in the past, so it was quite an honor. The topic Kenrick chose was “How to Supercharge Your Job Search.” Listen in as we cover:
- The important keys to achieving job search success
- Turning rejection into opportunity during your job search
- Increasing your job search efficiency and minimize stress
- Finding the “open door” in the job market
- Positioning yourself as the most viable next hire
Plus, there was a Q&A session at the end. As always, please share your feedback by leaving a comment below!

Have been listening to Kevin for a year and find he is always spot-on in his observations and advice. The hidden job market really isn't all that hidden when candidates know networking basics as Kevin continually points out. It's much more productive to network for the connections not just for job leads. That's a key method to create your own private hidden job market!
This session was excellent. I hope that both of you collaborate and present again soon.
Career coaches and life coaches are overrated. I have seen and talked to many over the past 10 years, and I find they all say the same thing. It might be rephrased, but the meaning is the same. The answer to most job seekers question is what techniques can one use to get into the hidden job market. Without resources and the right connections, one cannot enter it unless one is willing to reveal the secrets. People don't like to give referrals anymore; job resource centers help those who will make them look good. Therefore, job seekers who lack the experience?, especially in this job market , is not looked at as marketable. How does one with gaps or lace of long-term experience overcome these barriers?
I will say that Kevin doesn't cut any corners. He is honest to tell job seekers the truth about what employers want and don't want, which is why I like listening to him. The information he provides is helpful including the Q&A. Continue to inform us on the current events.
Knowing how to navigate the job search sites in itself is hard! Good find though, looking into the career catalyst.
Kevin, I love your bog - you provide genuine useful information.
